I cannot be sure, but it appears that there are four cross streets in this scene, all also contained within the gallery. This makes this a carfree space of considerable size. Does this still exist? What is its scope?
Notice the lovely quality of illumination - the gallery softens the light and yet still brings a great deal of it into the space.
