Weimar, Witumspalais

To judge by the name, this may be the entrance to the grounds of a palace.

Is this a square? Maybe. It is a quiet intersection of two streets, but the buttress in the center shelters the corner from traffic, so a quiet space is created. There is a small courtyard beyond the two entrance pillars, but this looks like private space and so is by definition not part of a square.

I would have to judge that this is not a square, but the case can be argued. If the courtyard were integrated with the street by removing the entrance pillars, then I think it would clearly be a square. It is certainly at the lower end of the size that can be considered a square under any circumstances.
