Strasbourg, Musée Alsacien

Here we have a very small and quite irregular courtyard, another space that has probably emerged gradually during the course of centuries.

The entire space is surrounded by galleries, which, in a completely different style, is a characteristic of many Arab houses. The communication between the rooms is outdoors, by way of the gallery, which can be a highly agreeable arrangement in hot and fairly dry climates.

Notice that there are four floors in the attic, which must be some kind of record.
