Amsterdam, Nieuwe Amstelbrug

This bridge looks much the same today as it does in this photograph. One of the most noticeable changes is the electrification of the tram tracks, which you can just make out in the roadway. Alas, the electrification required the addition of a number of support poles and a considerable amount of cabling, none of which improves its appearance. The other major change is that cars are everywhere. The horse-drawn carriages have disappeared, and there are more bicycles today.
