I would argue that this really is not a boulevard, and I have included in this chapter to illustrate a point. This street is much too narrow to be a boulevard, and while it is lined with huge trees, the effect is quite cramped, which is the opposite of the feeling that a boulevard is supposed to invoke. The roadway is narrow and carries only a single tram track. The sidewalks are also quite narrow for a boulevard.
