Algiers, Rue Michelet

While not strictly a European boulevard, this one is clearly a French export. It is not as grand as some boulevards but is perfectly respectable.

While it runs straight for a long distance, there are curves in both the foreground and the distance. These were probably made necessary by the topography of the site.

Notice that here, as so often, the boulevard has furnished an excellent route for the trams which ply the street. Note again the comparative absence of street traffic.
